Teacher’s Discovery Ordering FAQs

 

How do I find the product I’m looking for?

Our website is built to browse or find exactly what you have in mind. If you know the name of the product or have the item number from a catalog, type it into the Search bar in the top left corner. If you are not sure of a product’s name, want to browse by category or simply look for inspiration, use the category links to lead you wherever your index finger clicks.

 

If a book is sold in a set, can I buy it individually?

If you click on a link that advertises a set of books, you can find the individual book by typing the product name into the Search bar. After sending this search, both options will be displayed if the book is offered individually and in a set.

 

How do I learn more about the products I’m interested in?

The product description below the product’s picture will have an overview of the content, teaching principle and overall usefulness of the item you’re looking at. It also features the size and contents of your items.

Below this is an interactive Customer Discussion where you can see other users’ feedback on the item or provide feedback that will be helpful to other browsers. If you love one product or want to provide a warning about another, this is where you can tell us and other teachers.

 

How do I pick a product to purchase?

Simply click the Add to Cart button on the top right of the screen. If you want multiple quantities, enter the number you would like in the Quantity field. This will take you to your cart, which lists the Availability, Quantity, Unit Price and Total Price[1] of your cart items.  It will also show you the total cost of your order with shipping and handling charges. If you would like to keep looking around, click the red Continue Shopping link to the left of the cart items.


 

What is the “Wish List,” and how do I use it?

Just like an old-fashioned Christmas list or a trendy birthday registry, the Wish List is a way to reserve the items you want in your own personalized saved list. If you are looking at an item but you are not yet ready to click that red Add to Cart button, click the red Add to Wish List button immediately to the right. Then, you will either enter your e-mail address and password into the Returning Customer With Password field or enter your e-mail address and create a password in the New/Returning Customer Without Password field.

 

Can I share my Wish List?

Of course! From your Wish List you can either e-mail the list to your closest friends, post it for your hundreds of Facebook friends or keep it for your own ooooing and ahhhing. You can also look up a friend’s Wish List by entering their e-mail address in the bar above your list.

 

Do I have to create an account to purchase items?

You will be prompted to create an account, but there is a Checkout Without Registering option to the right of the account fields. We suggest creating an account since it is helpful and easy. All you have to do is enter an e-mail address and password in order to begin purchasing and saving items. You can also save your cart in case you want to access it at a later time. Keep this password so that you can sign in for future orders. If you forget your password, we can e-mail it to you.

 

What if I’m interrupted while shopping? Can I pick up from where I left off?

You can access your cart at a later time if you set up an account. Simply log in and click the My Cart link where you will find everything just as you left it. Guests will not be able to save their cart.

 

How can I quickly show someone else a product page?

 There are more ways than you can count on your fingers! You can either print or e-mail the page, or you can use several social media outlets to post the page to a friend or following of your choice.

 


 

What if an item is not available?

If our item is Out of Stock, click the Notify me when it’s available! link directly beneath the product price. Provide your name and e-mail address and we will let you know when the item is back in stock and ready to send to you.

 

What does “Drop Ship” mean?

Drop Ship means that the product you have ordered will not be shipped from Teacher’s Discover directly, but from another location. This does not affect your order or the product’s availability.

 

What are my shipping options?

Your cart will automatically calculate your total price with standard shipping. To see the price variations for 2nd Day Air  or Next Day Air, click the bubbles next to these options and the calculations will automatically recalculate.

 

What are my payment options?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards only. Debit cards, money orders, paypal and other electronic methods are not available methods at this time.  

 

How do I use a gift certificate?

In the Payment Options section of the checkout process, put in your certificate code if you would like to use a gift certificate. At the end of the checkout process you can even check the balance of your gift certificate. You do not have to use the entire balance in one purchase. Enjoy the reward little by little or all at once!

 

What’s the difference between a Shipping Address and a Billing Address?

At the end of the checkout process, you will have the option to Use Billing Address or Add New Address. This can come in handy if you want to surprise friends with a gift, let teachers know that one of their Wish List items is on the way or send the package to a classroom.

 


 

How does a Catalog Source Code work?

Our print catalog often features promotions for products in the form of codes that give customers a price break. If you enter the code offered in the catalog in this field, you will be able to see the advertised discount slim your final costs.

 

Can I fax my order?

Yes. We understand that you may need a form to get approval for these costs and for your own records. When you are ready to complete your payment, look for the Fax Order Form button at the bottom of the page. From there you can either print out a blank form and write in the information or fill out the form on your computer and print it out.

 

Where is shipping available?

We can ship anywhere in the continental U.S. If you live in Canada, please use our Canadian Web site, www.teachersdiscoveryca.com.

 

What is your return policy?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with all of your purchases from Teacher´s Discovery. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it for a full refund of the purchase price. See our Return Policy[2] page for more details.
