A fun end of the semester gift

I see most of my college German 101 students for only one semester as they take this course as a Gen Ed elective and don't usually have the time to take a follow up in 102. To help them remember their time in German class I gave them these pencils at the end of the semester. Everyone loved them, and the only flaw was that the wood was difficult to sharpen in an electric sharpener. We had to use the old fashioned, hand-held version to get a decent point!
