Wunderbar! MORE Fritz and Friends for Second-Year Students!
Peter (an American mouse) visits Germany and stays with Fritz in Munich. The two go to school, but also travel throughout Germany and experience different aspects of German culture. Every month Fritz writes a letter to Susie (their friend in Maine), telling her about his many adventures traveling to visit King Ludwig's castle, Mozart's house in Salzburg and the Oktoberfest. Engaging cartoon illustrations by artist Peter Tracy depict Peter, Fritz and friends dining on Wiener Schnitzel and pretzels, enjoying themselves in Bavaria, mountain-climbing, visiting a museum and having a good mouse time!
This German reader is written in the past tense, since this is an important grammar point taught in a second-year German class. Each chapter in Briefe an Susie includes content questions, and there is a complete German-English glossary at the end of the book.
