Great analyses but...

After giving away my copy of a Romeo and Juliet teacher's guide, I needed to get a new guide and was pretty impressed by the sample pages on TD. I was pleasantly surprised by the analysis selections in the guide that highlight some of the important scenes in the play. I loved that there was a place where the students could compare the different emotions and motives from the different characters in some of the Acts. Unfortunately, I was also disappointed in the lack of vocabulary, activities to help students get engaged in the play, ways to help the students read the older text, and quizzes. There was a quiz for Act I and the unit test but nothing else. I will definitely still use this but am going to make more supplements and have to buy a couple more guides to get a more rounded effect.
