About the Author
Deb Navarre has created numerous games, readers, and videos for Teacher's Discovery. She currently teaches all levels of Spanish in Grand Rapids, MI. She has studied abroad extensively in Mexico, including language and literature study at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, and earned her Master's degree in Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University.
Deb enjoys writing modern-day teen novels that high school kids can both relate to and learn from. Deb also enjoys singing and dancing in class and quoting the television show Seinfeld.

This is great for back to school review at the beginning of Spanish 2 or even mid-semester to break things up and review concepts. The story is something any language learner can relate to. I like how it works in some common cultural concepts but yet has themes any US high school student can relate to. I will keep using this reader with my students!

We currently read La Novia in Spanish 2. I am so excited to use El Viaje (the sequel) in my Spanish 3 classes next year. It's got an interesting story line, key vocabulary, geography and culture.
