My students loved this story! It is a basic read, but has a story line that they found interesting and fun to follow. This story was definitely a confidence booster for my students and we enjoyed talking about what we would do in the same situation. The chapters are not overwhelming to read, and in fact, we've been able to read several in a class period. This novel is entertaining and would be great for whole class, small group, or individual reading.

My students loved the Fiesta Fatal Book & audio CD. The book had a plot to keep them engaged, with new vocab and past tense examples. However, it wasn't too difficult to understand. It was perfect. Also, my students REALLY loved the voices on the CD. I would have them preview the chapters and then listen to the readers. I highly recommend this book for any preterite/imperfect unit.
