I am amazed by this product! This is NOT the chalky tasting Valentine's Day staple candy that we ate as kids! The candy is quite delicious actually and I loved being able to share this with my Spanish Club.

Needs more expressions

I was excited that Teacher's Discovery continued the tradition of conversation hearts even though the other company stopped making them. I was, however, a little disappointed. There wasn't enough variety of expressions on them. Also, be aware the product is flavored and textured more like a Sweet Tart than the traditional chalky heart.

I was looking forward to surprising my Spanish students with a little Valentine's Day "regalo" so I purchased these little boxes of candy hearts. Unfortunately, they were not a hit with my students. Although they enjoyed learning some Spanish expressions, the majority of them did not like the flavor of the candy at all!

Bland taste

While these are fun to give my students, I probably won't order them again. They really had no flavor. Students were about 50-50 on how much they liked them (taste wise). They loved the messages on the hearts.

The students enjoyed the hearts and figuring out what they said. The extra boxes I gave to the teachers who had fun with them also. Follow up activity was making Valentines for their friends.

I gave these to both my Spanish 1 and 5 classes. They both loved them and it was a nice gift. I did some activities with the younger students with them. The older students appreciated reading and being able to understand the messages.

These were fun to use in class on Valentines day. With that said, several in each box were blank or illegible. Also, they were tasteless. Not like the ones like you would typically buy in English. After our activities most kids threw them away in lieu of eating them.

I have been looking for these for many years and I was super excited to see them available through Teacher's Discovery. I bought a box for all of my students. Though I love the concept and the presentation of the product, the flavor was greatly lacking. I would buy them again but only if they was an improvement on the flavor of the product.

Cute but Not Tasty

I really wanted to love these candies. The design is super cute and my students loved how they are in Spanish. Fun! But... they do not taste good. They are all 1 flavor and it's kind of similar to what I imagine chalk woth sugar would taste like. They would be great for a Valentines art project though, so thumbs up if that's what you want them for.
