About the Author
Barbara Beam has been an English teacher for more than 20 years. She has taught all high school grades and levels from basic to AP, and SAT/ACT Prep to Creative Writing. In addition to coaching several different sports, including varsity basketball, Beam has also directed musicals. This vast array of experiences outside the classroom has helped shape her lesson plans and teaching as she incorporated drama, competition, and entertainment alongside classic literature and old-fashioned hard work. She has written five books and two musicals. Beam is currently serving as an administrator in North Carolina.
