Celebrate Independence Days for Hispanic Heritage Month!
¡Viva la independencia! Do you know when each country's independence day is? Every year, Latinos celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15. This banner displays a well-known icon from each country, hand-drawn by the artist SnapHappySmith. Under each country, you will see the date each celebrates their independence. Great buy: Because the dates don't change, you can use this poster from year to year!
Note: Some countries had a few independence days. We chose to include the major holiday celebrated there, but are not discounting the importance of the others.
Vinyl banner with four grommets. 2 x 5 feet.

WRONG INFORMATION
Oct 1, 2018 | By ERIKA G MORALES-MONTALVO

THE BANNER HAS THE WRONG INFORMATION ABOUT PUERTO RICO. PUERTO RICO IS A 500 YRS OLD COLONY. FIRST FROM SPAIN, AND THEN FROM UNITED STATES. IT NEVER BEEN INDEPENDENT, AND TO PORTRAIT IT AS AN INDEPENDENT NATION IS IRRESPONSIBLE. THE LAW JONES AND THE LAW FORAKER JUST ESTABLISHED UNITES STATES SOVEREIGNTY OVER THE ISLAND AND IT'S CITIZENS. SO PLEASE CHANGE THE TITLE TO SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES OR TAKE PUERTO RICO FROM THAT LIST.
Staff's Response: Hello Erika,
Hi there! We caught that information and just created a new one, fresh off the press. We actually JUST finished an update of this poster last week. Specifically, because the banner is to promote the countries' independence, we decided to remove Puerto Rico. We also updated dates for Cuba and Chile. Thanks for responding! We appreciate the feedback.
