High school student Chester wishes he was someone else. He gets teased a lot at school because of his looks, so he escapes by transforming (with the help of a magic gnome) into his secret identity: Victor, a handsome and athletic teenager. Chester manages to avoid his problems for a while, until his friends and talking cat help him accept his true self.

About the Author
Ben Lev has taught students from kindergarten through college for more than 30 years. His classroom is a place of high engagement where he and his students co-create interesting stories in Spanish (like this one), sing, dance, play and laugh. He was teacher of the year for the North Coast (California) Bilingual Consortium and received the Jack London Educator’s award for Academic Excellence. An avid traveler, he recently rode 1000 kilometers on a tandem bicycle with his daughter through the mountains of northern Spain and France. His first novel in Spanish is a biography of the rock ‘n roll legend Carlos Santana.
