Excellent Way to get student interest

I assign people from the time-period we are studying and used to have students make posters about them. The blank Farcebook posters make it easy and interesting for the students to find out about their person, including items they probably wouldn't have thought to look up on their own.

These Farcebook pages really allow for students to consider characters in-depth. The students have to consider who the character is, what motivates him/her and how they relate to the other characters as well as the plot. These pages also allow kids to take characters out of their traditional time period and into the modern world of social media, a world in which our students are deeply immersed.

I have used the "Farcebook" pages for an assignment in Forensic Science. Students pick a serial criminal and create a page for them. They love the assignment and have been super creative making their pages. We end with a Farcebook Page drive-by so everyone can view the information about the serial criminals.
