From the teachers who choose to work at the school to each child present, there is a reason why they are all at le Fond de l’Étang. Have students take out a piece of paper to create a T-chart with “Cause” on top of the left and “Effect” on top of the right. Halfway through, stop the movie to assess how these sets of people ended up at the school. Upon finishing the movie, have students do the exercise again, but this time evaluating the events in the movie itself.
