About the Authors
Carrie McLaren (B.A. (Hons), B.Ed., OCT) is a Spanish and French high school teacher. Carrie has kept up-to-date on the current theories of modern language education. She brings her passion and knowledge to this new Spanish language resource, which explores a variety of real-life situations and experiences.
Leyté González Navarro (B.Ed., OCT) graduated with a bachelor of education (honors) and a major in history and philosophy in Havana, Cuba. Since leaving her country of origin, she has worked as a Spanish teacher for over 20 years, and is currently a French teacher. Also a professional translator, she graduated from Glendon College, York University, Toronto. González Navarro co-authored and edited two editions of Cuaderno de Español and translated Boxeando por Cuba, Historia de un Emigrante, a biography of Guillermo Vicente Vidal.
