Q: Why is it that Adolf Hitler is included, but neither Mary Shelley, the inventor of science fiction, nor Fredrick Douglass, an important figure in African American literature, seem to be included?

  Thank you for your question. The purpose of this poster is to display a wide variety of authors from around the world. We will re-evaluate the decision to include Hitler as one of the non-fiction authors, and perhaps select someone different. Your suggestions for additions are wonderful and have been shared with the developer of this product.
