My first classroom reader and it's a hit!

I've never before purchased a reader for my students, but I'm so glad I invested in this one! I especially like how the vocabulary in later stories builds off of that in the earlier stories in the book. This is something that will come in useful for both elementary and middle school students who need to gain confidence in reading Spanish. They will certainly be successful with this reader.
Not appropriate for elementary students

I did not appreciate the 'how gross' rejoinder referring to an old woman (witch) in a bikini (along with illustration of bikini clad person). Neither the bear appearing in briefs/underwear, nor the tomato being surprised while sitting on a toilet were necessary.
The story of 2 different children's trip to use the toilet (at school) was also not needed (though I understand the humor of trying to imagine what could possibly take soooo long --obviously, the toilet must be a magic jet ski that's transported a student to a far away resort to play).
