The newest book in the In 10 Lessons series utilizes life skills articles for informational text analysis. Informational text analysis topics include finding textual evidence, determining a central idea, meanings of words and phrases, identifying point of view, evaluating text structures, and how those interact and work together throughout the text. Article topics include buying a car and getting auto insurance, how income tax works, signing a lease, workplace networking, voting, and keeping a job.

About the Authors
Lisa DiGaudio is an educator of 20 years in and out of the classroom. As the founding principal at New Dawn Charter High School, Lisa fights for quality education opportunities for transfer high school students in New York City. She holds a Ph.D. in education policy from Walden University. In addition to her work in Brooklyn, Lisa consults with different education think tanks, like the Center for Education Innovation and Educator and Student Open Learning (EASOL). She also writes curriculum for different schools and organizations, in addition to doing advocacy work for at-risk teens. Lisa was a New York Educator Voice Fellow with America Achieves for 2015 and a Policy Fellow for the 2016–2017 school year.
