Verbo™ Turns Spanish Verb Conjugation Lessons into an Exciting Card Game!
Verbo is our version of one of the world’s most popular card games! A Michigan Spanish teacher's creation, Verbo reinforces verb forms and helps students recognize different conjugations! The game plays just like UNO™. All the rules remain the same except that players change suit by laying down a card of the same verb or verb form instead of using colors and numbers. Just don’t forget to shout "Verbo!" when you have one card left! 72 cards. Laminated. Three to six players. Intermediate.
Verb List: venir, estar, querer, poder, hacer, tener, decir, poner, saber

So fun we forgot we were learning

We've tried a lot of Spanish games and Verbo is -- by far -- the most fun. Other language games try to be entertaining, of course, but their learning objectives tend to get in the way of pure enjoyment. With Verbo, you forget that you're learning because it just seems like a cool variation of Uno. I would give Verbo 5 stars if the decks weren't so expensive.
Verbo Pret

My students at first struggled with the game until they got used to it and then they liked it. There are so many irregular preterits that it was good for them to consistently see them written. I mixed this deck with the preterit regulars so they were seeing both at the same time.
Great but no vosotros

Great game, would have liked to see more irregulars included, but I knew that going in, what I didn't know is there are no verbs conjugated in the vosotros. That makes this an even more expensive game that still helps, but not as much as it could by just including all conjugations. Won't buy any more sets unfortunately.
